Linux Installation Guide
This tutorial will guide you through the steps to install Binbot on your Linux system.
- It is recommended that you uninstall all existing versions of Binbot on your system before installing a new version of Binbot. To avoid losing all your settings, make sure you answer No when asked whether to delete all Binbot configuration data.
- Ensure that the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) version 1.5 or later is installed on your system. If not, visit http://java.com/getjava to download and install the latest JRE release for your system.
- Extract the compressed archive in the directory where you want to install Binbot:
tar xzf binbot2.0b3.tgz
This will create a Binbot subdirectory of that directory. - Go to that directory and launch Binbot:
cd binbot2.0b3
./binbot.sh
