Multilanguage Configuration Guide

This tutorial will show you how to configure Binbot for non-English newsgroups.

  1. Select a non-English newsgroup and select the menu Newsgroup > Edit (1). Select Override default article font and click Select (2). Select a font appropriate for the language used in the newsgroup (3). Click OK (4).

    Tip: Click here for a list of font names for various Asian languages.
  2. Click on the arrow next to Default encoding (1), and select a character encoding appropriate for the language used in the newsgroup (2). Click OK.

  3. Click Go to start loading headers.

    Tip 1: If the text is garbled, go back to step 2 and select a different character encoding.
    Tip 2: If the text is garbled on a single article, you can apply a different character encoding to that article only. To proceed, select the article, click on the menu Article > Encoding and select a character encoding.
