Getting Started Guide - Part 1
This tutorial will show you how to download your first file using Binbot. It assumes that you have successfully completed the installation and that you are running Binbot for the first time. If you need help installing Binbot, see our installation guides for Windows and Linux.
- Click Evaluate.
- Click Yes.
- Enter the news server name or IP address (1) and an optional nickname (2). If your
news server requires authentication, select Server requires authentication (3)
and enter your user name and password (4). Click OK (5).
- Click Yes.
- Wait for the list of newsgroups to be downloaded.
- Type autos in the search box (1), select the newsgroup alt.binaries.pictures.autos (2), and click Subscribe (3). If that newsgroup is unavailable, select a different newsgroup with a high article count. Click Close (4).
- Ensure that the newsgroup alt.binaries.pictures.autos is selected (1) and click Go (2).
- Select an article and click Download.
- Congratulations! You have downloaded your first file using Binbot. To view
the file, click on the Downloads tab and drag-and-drop the file to your
favorite image viewer.
